Apple Event 2025: One Post to Know All the New Stuff

Hey everyone! I just finished watching Apple’s highly anticipated “Awe Dropping” event live from Cupertino, and wow, what an exciting launch! The event took place at Apple Park on September 9, 2025, starting at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. As expected, Tim Cook and the team unveiled the next-generation iPhone series, a new Apple Watch lineup, and the long-awaited AirPods Pro 3. The biggest surprise for me was definitely the all-new iPhone Air. It’s clear Apple is pushing the boundaries of design and performance.

iPhone 17: ProMotion is Now Standard

The standard iPhone 17 is no longer the “basic” model. Apple has made some bold moves here, including discontinuing the Plus model. That’s right, this year, we only have the 6.3-inch version. It comes in five beautiful, soft-tone colors: Lavender, Sage, Mist Blue, White, and Black. Really elegant choices this time.

Display and Design

For the first time ever, the non-Pro iPhone features a ProMotion display. That means you get a 6.3-inch screen with adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz, Always-On functionality, and an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits, perfect for sunny days. The front panel is protected by the new Ceramic Shield 2, which Apple claims is three times more scratch-resistant than the original. There’s also a seven-layer anti-reflective coating that significantly reduces glare.

Performance and Battery Life

Under the hood, the iPhone 17 is powered by the A19 chip, built on a 3nm process. It has a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU, delivering a 20% graphics performance boost over the A18. Battery life is a huge step up; you now get up to 30 hours of video playback, which is 8 hours more than the iPhone 16. And if you’re in a hurry, the upgraded fast charging lets you reach 50% battery in just 20 minutes with a 40W or higher adapter.

Camera System

Both the main and ultra-wide cameras now use 48MP sensors. By default, the phone captures 24MP high-resolution photos. The front camera has been upgraded to an 18MP Center Stage sensor with a square layout, allowing for flexible zooming and automatic framing based on how many people are in the shot. Video stabilization now works on the front camera as well, and there’s a new Dual Capture mode that lets you record with both the front and rear cameras at the same time, great for vloggers!

iPhone Air: The Thinnest iPhone Ever

This one really took me by surprise. The iPhone Air is just 5.6mm thin, that’s 0.22 inches! It’s built with aerospace-grade titanium, making it both incredibly light and durable. The front uses the same Ceramic Shield 2 as the iPhone 17, and the back is made with Ceramic Shield glass.

Display and Design

The 6.5-inch OLED display supports ProMotion up to 120Hz, with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and an Always-On mode that drops to 1Hz. It comes in four classy colors: Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White, and Space Black. This is clearly aimed at people who want a premium, ultra-portable device.

Camera and Performance

Despite its slim profile, the iPhone Air doesn’t compromise on power. It uses the A19 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU, delivering up to three times the peak performance of the A18 Pro. There’s a single 48MP main camera on the back with an f/1.6 aperture, and the same 18MP Center Stage front camera as the iPhone 17. It also includes Apple’s new N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and Thread support, along with the ultra-efficient C1X modem.

Connectivity

Due to its ultra-thin design, the iPhone Air does not have a physical SIM tray. It relies entirely on eSIM worldwide.

iPhone 17 Pro: Bold New Design with Vapor Chamber Cooling

iPhone 17 Pro models have undergone a major redesign. Instead of titanium, Apple is now using a unibody aerospace-grade aluminum construction. Even more impressive, this is the first iPhone with a vapor chamber (VC) cooling system, which helps dissipate heat from the powerful A19 Pro chip.

Revolutionary Design

Apple placed most of the internal components inside the raised camera area, freeing up space for a larger battery. The iPhone 17 Pro now offers the best battery life in the lineup. With the new 40W Dynamic Power Adapter (which can actually output up to 60W), you can charge up to 50% in just 20 minutes. The raised module also houses an advanced antenna system that Apple says offers the best cellular performance ever in an iPhone.

Durability and Display

The front and back are both protected with Ceramic Shield 2 and Ceramic Shield glass, respectively. The display reaches 3,000 nits peak brightness and uses a new anti-reflective coating.

A19 Pro Performance

The A19 Pro chip features a 6-core CPU, 6-core GPU, and a dedicated neural engine. Combined with the new cooling system, it offers 40% better sustained performance over the previous generation. The N1 chip brings support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and Thread.

Advanced Camera System

The Pro models introduce a new 48MP telephoto camera with a next-gen quad-prism design. It offers 4x optical zoom (100mm) and 8x optical zoom (200mm), with digital zoom going all the way up to 40x. The 18MP front camera supports automatic stabilization and subject tracking during FaceTime calls.

For video creators, the iPhone 17 Pro supports ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, and even Genlock for syncing with external professional cameras.

Apple Watch Series 11: 5G and Hypertension Monitoring

The Apple Watch Series 11 looks similar to last year’s model but adds a new Deep Space Gray aluminum option. The display is protected by Ion-X glass with a ceramic coating that doubles scratch resistance. The cellular model now supports 5G, and battery life has been improved to 24 hours with normal use, that’s 6 hours more than before.

Health Features

The standout new health feature is hypertension monitoring. It uses the optical heart rate sensor to detect signs of chronic high blood pressure over 30-day periods. This feature, similar to the sleep apnea detection introduced last year, is awaiting FDA approval and is expected to roll out in 150 countries later this month.

There’s also a new Sleep Score function that gives you a detailed breakdown of your sleep quality with actionable insights.

Performance and Interface

Even though it uses the same S10 chip as Series 10, Series 11 supports new wrist gestures like flip-to-wake. New watch faces include “Flow” with a liquid glass design and “Precision Time” that shows hours, minutes, and seconds in a clean layout.

Apple Watch Ultra 3: Satellite Communication and Better Battery

The Ultra 3 now supports two-way satellite communication. You can send and receive messages even without cellular or Wi-Fi. Location sharing via Find My updates every 15 minutes. It also supports 5G, and thanks to a new dual-antenna system, reception in weak signal areas is greatly improved.

Display and Performance

The LTPO3 OLED display has 24% narrower bezels, making the screen feel larger. The always-on display now updates every second. There’s a new Waypoint watch face that shows real-time compass data, satellite connection status, and a night mode.

Battery Life

With a more efficient 5G modem, LTPO3 display tech, and a larger battery, the Ultra 3 offers:

72 hours in Low Power Mode
20 hours of GPS tracking with heart rate monitoring in Low Power Mode

Apple Watch SE 3: Great Value with Meaningful Upgrades

The new SE model now includes the S10 chip, an Always-On display, and gesture controls like double-tap and wrist-flick. It also gains wrist temperature sensing for ovulation estimates and sleep apnea detection. Sleep Score functionality is included as well.

AirPods Pro 3: Major Upgrade in Sound and Noise Cancellation

It’s been three years since the last model, and the AirPods Pro 3 are a big leap forward. The earbuds are smaller and designed for a more secure fit. There are now five ear tip sizes, including XXS for smaller ears.

Sound Quality

While they still use the H2 chip, the acoustic architecture has been completely redesigned for better airflow into the ear canal. The adaptive EQ offers a wider soundstage and deeper bass, making it easier to distinguish individual instruments and voices.

Noise Cancellation

New foam ear tips provide better passive isolation. Combined with next-gen low-noise mics, active noise cancellation is twice as effective as the AirPods Pro 2 and four times better than the original. Battery life reaches 8 hours with ANC on.

Health and Fitness

AirPods Pro 3 include a custom heart rate sensor that works with the accelerometer, gyroscope, and GPS to track heart rate and calories during over 50 types of workouts.

Real-Time Translation

In regions where Apple Intelligence is available, the AirPods Pro 3 can translate conversations in real time. If both people are wearing them, noise cancellation reduces the other person’s voice while playing the translated audio. For non-AirPods users, the iPhone displays translated text. Initially supports English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with more languages coming later.
